Olen Sanna Koskenranta, 43-vuotias lappeenrantalainen. Lappeenranta on upea kaupunki ja minulle myös kaupunki, jossa olen saanut syntyä, kasvaa, opiskella, tehdä töitä ja perustaa perheen. Kesäkuun 2021 kuntavaaleissa tulin valituksi Lappeenrannan kaupunginvaltuustoon neljännelle valtuustokaudelle ja sain myös suuren kunnian aloittaa uuden valtuuston puheenjohtajana.

Olen myös aluevaltuutettu, sillä pidän tärkeänä kaupungin, maakunnan ja hyvinvointialueen tiivistä yhteistyötä alueen asukkaiden hyvinvoinnin varmistamiseksi. Sotepalvelut eivät yksin ratkaise haasteita. Myös kunnan on toimittava hyvinvointia edistäen ja yhteistyö on kaiken avain.

Olen koulutukseltani yhteisöpedagogi (yamk). Työssäni ammattiliiton aluepäällikkönä työntekijöiden hyvinvointi ja sen eteen työskentely on minulle keskiössä.

Sydän palaa edelleen kotikaupungin ja hyvinvointialueen kehittämiselle, siksi olen ehdolla myös kevään 2025 kunta- ja aluevaaleissa.


I am Sanna Koskenranta, a 43-year-old resident of Lappeenranta. Lappeenranta is a wonderful city and, for me, a place where I have had the privilege of being born, growing up, studying, working, and starting a family. In the municipal elections of June 2021, I was elected to the Lappeenranta City Council for my fourth term and had the great honor of becoming the chair of the new council.


I am also a regional councilor, as I consider close cooperation between the city, the region, and the wellbeing services county essential for ensuring the well-being of local residents. Social and healthcare services alone do not solve all challenges—municipalities must also play a role in promoting well-being, and collaboration is the key to everything.


I hold a Master’s degree in Community Education. In my work as a regional manager for a trade union, employee well-being and advocating for it are at the core of what I do.


My heart remains dedicated to the development of my hometown and the wellbeing services county, which is why I am also running in the municipal and regional elections in the spring of 2025.
